Certified Tutor

I graduated from the University of Central Florida in December of 2016. I have a major in Elementary Education and have been working as a classroom teacher for the past 5 years. During those years, I had the opportunity to teach students in Kindergarten, 3rd grade, 4th grade, and 1st grade. Although most of my years of experience have been in 1st grade. I've also offer tutoring services to students in K through 3rd grade, during the school year as well as in the summer. My favorite subject to tutor is Reading because I love reading myself, and want to help children become independent readers so they can enjoy books with topics of interest. I offer tutoring in all elementary subjects (Reading, Math, and Science). I believe that every student comes with different experiences, interests, and learning styles that I, as an educator can use to help them learn in an engaging way. I want my students to feel heard and that they have something to contribute. Also, I want to help them make a connection between what they are learning and real life (the WHY of learning). For this reason, as a tutor I encourage students to share ideas. I like getting to know them so that I can plan my tutoring/teaching sessions to meet their needs and preferences.

Outside of being an educator, I am an animal lover. My favorite animals are horses and dogs. I also enjoy being in nature, reading books, and singing. Every once in a while, I like to try new things such as crafting, art, or cooking new dishes.
