Certified Tutor
I am a graduate of the University of Maryland Global Campus. In December 2020, I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice. When tutoring, I create study methods to implement structure and organization. I have my State of Maryland Communication Certification and State of Maryland Child Development I, II, & III Certification. I earned this while constructing educational content to teach weekly themes and guiding behavior to optimize productivity and well-being. I volunteered at a library and received a 25-hour certificate, aiding children as they participated in activities, such as Escape Rooms, crafts, and board games. Since graduation, I have been interning with a nonprofit company creating mental health content, such as weekly reflective journal prompts and discussing innovative ideas to promote heightened well-being. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about English, Yoga, and cooking. In my experience, combining structure with activities that keep the individual engaged allows for optimal success and engagement. I am a firm proponent that learning can be one of the most fun and enriching experiences if applied in a way that directly aligns with one's passions. I believe all subjects can connect to a person's interests and, therefore, can contribute to the person's overall well-being.
