Certified Tutor

I'm about to graduate with my MA in English, specifically creative writing! I also currently work for Eastern Illinois University in our writing center, which directly reflects my tutoring abilities with Varsity Tutors! With my writing center position, any EIU student can make an appointment with me about any writing assignment, regardless of class, subject, or experience! Sometimes I help dual credit seniors in high school, and sometimes I help graduate students with their theses. I can help with grammar and structural concerns, but I really love helping with the content itself. I love teaching students about organization and delivery! I am also passionate about brainstorming and getting my students through writer's block. And of course, creative endeavors are my absolute favorite! I am working towards a career in video game writing and am also working on getting my short stories, essays, and novellas published on journals and magazines. I also hold a BS in environmental biology, so I have a large range of knowledge and skills. I can't wait to meet you and get started!
