I am currently a student at Boston University in the Seven Year Accelerated Medical Program. I am majoring in Medical Sciences and minoring in Psychology, and I expect to graduate in 2024. I graduated high school as valedictorian of my class, and I am a National Merit Scholar. My love for teaching began when I was young, while helping my younger siblings with homework. Over the past two years, I have had experience working as a substitute teacher at Kumon with kids of all ages, and privately tutoring a 5th grader and 8th grader in math. While I am open to teaching a wide range of subjects, I am specifically passionate about teaching elementary school and middle school subjects. I believe that listening and understanding a student's personal struggles is very important in the journey of improvement. I try my best to adapt my lesson plans so that they are the most fun and intriguing for the individual student, based on their interests and hobbies. I find that if a student is more interested in the task at hand, they tend to produce better results. While understanding certain topics may be frustrating for some, education is a vital part of life, and it is important to help students see the value of learning.
