I recently graduated from UMKC with a B.S. in Physics, with an emphasis in Astronomy and a minor in Math. My ultimate goal is to become a professional astronomer and educator, and I plan to start a Ph.D. program in the fall, most likely at KU.

During my time at UMKC, I was a Supplemental Instruction (SI) Leader for introductory calculus-based physics. SI is, in essence, collaborative group tutoring, and my teaching style and philosophy stems from that. I try to make my lessons fun and interesting, and I believe that my students learn better when they are helping others learn.

My passion for teaching comes from my personal philosophy that the human mind is a person's greatest asset, and to seek to develop it and understand the world around you is the loftiest ambition there is.
