Kevin: Marietta tutor
Certified Tutor
Presently, I am retired after 43 years of working with students who have special needs. I took my undergraduate and graduate work at Augustana University in Sioux Falls, SD. I started out at the South Dakota School for the Deaf. I was a certified interpreter for a number of years but am no longer a certified interpreter. I have worked with youth and adults who are deaf or hard of hearing.
After moving from the SD School for the Deaf, I worked with youth (K-12) who have needs in Special Education. Most of the students were on IEP's (Individual Education Programs); many of whom were considered at-risk of being in trouble with law enforcement.
In my summers, I taught in a facility that had students with severe handicaps.
I have written a Children's Book with my son who illustrated the book. It is entitled Matt and Brody Face the Bullies.
I love working with kids and young adults and am hoping to continue contact with students.
