I am a graduate of NYU where I earned a Master's degree in Archival Studies and a graduate of Rutgers University where I earned a Bachelor's degree in History. While attending Rutgers University I was a tutor at the writing center on Douglas Campus. I worked with college freshmen on their essay writing assignments where we covered important practices like evaluating sources, organizing ideas, essay structure, and writing skills. I believe, for however challenging it may seem at times, that writing is a learnable and improvable skill capable of benefiting anyone. The way our writing represents us for work, school, and in social situations can change the way others view ourselves and how we view others. To this end I focus on not just trying to improve the grade or mark on any individual paper but instead want to focus on creating better practices for writing to help students tackle whatever problem they may encounter in the future. While helping students construct written assignments and hone their skills at writing are my preferred subjects for tutoring, I also cover topics in English, History and Social Studies.

I am an avid reader of historical and fiction novels and am currently rereading through the works of Terry Pratchett. I’ve spent many an hour playing video and tabletop games. When I do go outside I enjoy walking/playing with the dog or taking in some of the natural beauty of the pine barrens where I live.
