I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from James Madison University, a Master of Education from NC State University, and an Educational Specialist degree from East Carolina University. I will also start work on my Ph.D. in the Spring of 2021. I have worked extensively in the field of education - from teaching special education to working as a consultant for the state department of public instruction. I am passionate about special education and reading as a subject area. As a lifelong learner, I greatly appreciate the importance of education. In my spare time I enjoy reading, hanging out with my rescue dog, walking and DIY projects.
