Certified Tutor
I live in Charlotte, North Carolina. I went to the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where I graduated with a bachelor's degree in English and minors in both Secondary Education and Youth and Communities. I currently teach 9th grade English at a high school in my city.
I am a certified English 9-12 teacher through the North Carolina Department of Education and Instruction. I have taught high school levels of English I, English II, and English III. I have also taught at a literacy program for K-6 students at Freedom Schools and I was a Freedom School site coordinator in 2019.
I love teaching! I became a teacher because I want to help my students learn how to communicate and how to write about their ideas in a way that will allow them to be heard. I want to advocate for my students, be in their corner, and teach them how to stand up for themselves and how to make the change that they want to see in the world through education.

I am obsessed with true crime and conspiracy theories! I listen to true crime podcasts and watch documentaries about crime and conspiracy in my free time. Aside from crime and conspiracy, I also like to watch other forms of TV. Some of my favorite shows include Grey's Anatomy and Avatar the Last Airbender. I also enjoy outdoor activities. I have two dogs: Rory (a boxer/pitbull mix) and Miller (a chocolate beagle). I love to take my dogs to the park, the lake, and hiking.
