I love math and I love teaching math! I really enjoy working with students and helping them understand math. When a student would come to me in the beginning of the semester and be convinced that they never could learn math, I would tell them that is it not true. I would tell them to just give me a chance and I will teach you math! And then at the end of the semester when they would come to me and say, "I never thought I could ever understand math but I do now and it is amazing, thank you!", I would just smile. Now that I am retired I still want to help students learn math. It is what I love to do!

Hobbies

We have a large family, 5 children and 11 grandchildren so they keep me busy outside of teaching/tutoring math. We also have a dog and a cat and we walk the dog everyday and I really love to walk at the park in the wooded areas! I also enjoy playing board games, reading and folk dancing.
