I have been teaching physics in some capacity for over 15 years and have a degree and a Ph.D. in physics. I do research in the area of Physics called Physics Education and so I investigate the difficulties and challenges that students have with learning physics both from a conceptual point of view and from a motivational perspective. I have designed multiple college-level classes in both mechanics and electricity and magnetism and specialize in designing physics problems that relate to the real world.

I am an avid movie consumer and often use movie scenarios to teach physics like calculating whether the bus would have made the jump in the movie Speed. I also am an amateur woodworker mainly because as fund and rewarding as physics you never really have a physical product in your hand at the end of the experience and woodworking allows me to do that.
