I graduated from Emporia State University with a teaching degree in mathematics and six years later completed my masters at Northwest Missouri State University in School Computer Studies. For 15 years I taught junior high and/or high school math as well as teaching adults beginning computer skills through a community college. My favorite class to teach is algebra II since I have enjoyed watching students take the skills they learned in algebra I and geometry and apply those to further their math education. It is my belief that almost all students can master the skills necessary to complete the math courses needed for high school graduation. I am patient and willing to work on skills with students until they understand them and able to use them in their coursework successfully.

I have always been a reader so spend a minimum of 15 minutes to an hour per day reading, especially during this time of self-isolation. I enjoy working in the yard, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
