Certified Tutor

I was a sophomore at Savannah Arts Academy when I decided to pursue a career in medicine. This pursuit led me to attend Samford University where I earned a B.S. in Biology while also participating in the Jazz band, and the internationally competitive chamber choir under direction of Dr. Phillip Copeland. As a student I also competed in several vocal/dance competitions where I was director and choreographer. I frequently pursued leadership and mentor opportunities at Samford including Connections Leader, section leader, volunteer at Children's of Alabama in the critical cardiac care unit. After graduation I spent 2 years teaching music, science, and physical education while also working as my home church's youth minister. During my time in medical school I also tutored high school students in chemistry, physics, american history, geometry, and algebra. Currently I am working towards my goal of becoming a pediatric urologist by conducting research in fertility at the Wake Forest Institute of Regenerative Medicine before beginning residency.
