I received my Bachelor degree from ECPI University in Business Administration with a concentration in Business Management. I have currently completed over half of my MBA, also with a concentration in Business management. I have been teaching in higher education for over 15 years and have had the wonderful experience to help a wide variety of students reach their goals, through classroom teaching as well as individualized tutoring. I love helping students work through questions using knowledge they already have, and helping them to discover how much they already know. I help them by giving them the tools they need to succeed, as well as the knowledge of how to use and apply these tools and concepts. Together, the student and I work to discover what they already know, and work to find different ways to connect the dots between concepts to gain a thorough understanding of the material. I tutor business and science courses, and enjoy showing students how fun and engaging these courses are to learn.
It is an old clich, but I really believe knowledge is power. I truly enjoy helping students reach their true potential by developing individualized steps to get them on their way to obtaining their goal. My teaching style is very interactive with the student and together we use a variety of methods to appeal to whichever learning style(s) are best for each individual. In addition to teaching, I love anything outdoors such as camping, hiking, and running, as well as curling up with a good book.
