As an educator my goal is to prepare the novice nurse into their future career. I appreciate the work that goes into being a student, but also understand that each individual should have education which is personalized to their own preferences.
I have a DNP degree with an Educational Leadership focus. I received this degree from American Sentinel University. I have helped students meet their goals of attaining expertise within the nursing field and have worked one on one with students to guide their learning. I enjoy tutoring students in Medical/Surgical nursing as this is my area of expertise. My teaching philosophy includes wanting to promote expert learning as a student to help develop the nurse into their clinical role.
When I'm not working I enjoy hanging with family, walking my 2 dogs, and watching my daughter ice-skating!
