My passion has always been teaching and my play pretend time as a child was an indication of that. I played school and musician and that is exactly what I am! I am a teacher and a musician with 28 years of experience with every age from PreK to College/Adults. I've taught in public schools as well as community colleges, private colleges and universities and have loved working with all age groups. I have a Bachelor's degree in Music Education, a Masters degree in Music/Voice Performance and a Ph.D. in Education with an emphasis in Voice Instruction and Learning Theories. My other passion is writing and editing. I discovered this passion when writing my dissertation, which was published in 2015. I've written a book based on my dissertation topic and hope to have it published in the future. I love researching as well and discovering new things. I've taught in several different areas of my field and even though they weren't always in my comfort zone, I've discovered that a teacher who loves teaching and has the skills to teach and work with students can usually get the job done! I love teaching and cannot image doing anything else. For me it's not work. To quote what my dad always said, "If you love what you do, you never work a day in your life."
