Certified Tutor

I have been an educator for 24 years. The last 16 years have been in educational leadership where I was able to ensure that all facets of education were superior for all students! My experience working with students range from being a college instructor to a youth counselor. All roles have been rewarding especially as an elementary and high school principal. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Wright State University and my Masters of Science in Teaching degree from the University of Dayton. I am a licensed elementary and middle school teacher, a licensed Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade principal and a licensed school Superintendent. I love public speaking, working out, cooking and writing in my journal daily.

I am passionate about tutoring students because I once had a tutor. Having a tutor allowed me to feel motivated, encouraged and inspired! My life changed from feeling defeated to victorious! This was due to my tutor believing that I could, so I did! Now I am able to give that same energy back to students I work with. I believe when students are given the right tools according to their learning style, they can achieve with patience and practice as we have fun doing it! I love to teach English Language Arts (reading and writing). I enjoy seeing students find power with words as they use their imagination. This allows creativity and a connection to what they are studying that is later developed into a story of their own. Reading is such a fun subject especially when I discover what student's interests are. I then incorporate their interests and things they like into their lesson.
