I am very happy with our experience so far with Varsity Tutors. They matched my daughter with reading specialist Mary and she is wonderful! My 10 year old daughter feels happy after her sessions and believes her tutor has already helped her.

Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of The University of Chicago. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Human Development with a focus in education. Since graduation, my desire to increase the overall accessibility in the college admission process has only grown
through my position with College Possible. This organization focuses on helping low-income minority students gain knowledge surrounding higher education, as well as provides them with free SAT test preparation. I particularly enjoy teaching Algebra I and Geometry. As part of my requirements for College Possible I created and taught two standardized test prep lesson plans a week in the months leading up to my students' in-school administered SAT test. I am a firm advocate of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students! Next year I hope to gain my TESOL accreditation while teaching English in Incheon, South Korea. My long-term goal is to obtain a Masters in Disability Studies.
