As a current special education teacher and ESL instructor, my number one goal has always been to make the content and concept I am teaching fun and understandable to my students. It is very important for our students to feel challenged, but also to experience success in the areas that are challenging for them.
I have been a teacher for 18 years. I have taught grades Prek-8th grade. I love to teach people how to read and how to use reading strategies to comprehend text. I also enjoy using props and manipulatives to make the lesson fun. My belief is that practice makes perfect. At the beginning things may be difficult or impossible, but the more we practice, we become confident and our self-esteem increase to a new level.
