I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Film Studies/Production. Throughout school and now, I've worked as a writer and editor for two online platforms, one of which I still write with. I enjoy reading others' work and helping them improve. I've been able to discover people's different writing styles and how to best work with them to improve while keeping their voice. I believe that the best way to help/tutor someone is by working with them in an interactive way rather than be a totally passive bystander. I tell people what didn't work for me and why, offer suggestions, and help them determine where they utilize those suggestions, rather than making them figure it out on their own. I also make sure to tell them what did work for me, that way they are able to continue including those aspects of their writing in the future. Outside writing/editing for the website, I enjoy reading and writing on my own time. I hope to bring my same excitement and passion about writing to the students I'll help.
