I'm Eeshani! I graduated from Brandeis University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a minor in Math and Anthropology. Math has always been my favorite subject. The biggest reason for that was because of my teachers. I believe a good teacher can make all the difference when it comes to any subject. My teaching philosophy is to meet the student where they are at, adapt to their preferred learning style, and reinforce concepts through structure and repetition. If a student doesn't understand one approach to a problem, I'll try a different way of explaining it. I try to understand my students strengths and find methods of problem solving that cater to those strengths so that they can use those skills on their own. I believe it is extremely important to be engaging, understanding, and creative when it comes to teaching concepts.

I have 3 years of tutoring experience at the Russian School of Math. I was both a private and group tutor for K-12 students in subjects ranging from basic arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, and SAT Math and subject tests. Depending on students needs I would plan lessons ahead of time and provide materials for them to practice concepts on their own, or just assist with their homework. For older students working on test preparation I would offer some test taking and time saving skills as well. During my undergraduate program I was a teaching assistant for a few introductory courses and worked one on one with students on their assignments during office hours.

I want my students to walk away from tutoring sessions feeling confident and excited that they have learned something. I hope to make students feel comfortable and provide a learning environment that will truly benefit them and their needs. I am easy to reach and will always respond in a timely manner.
