Education is all I've ever wanted to do and am currently going to Mount Mercy University for. I was always very close to my teachers and have always wanted a relationship with a student like I did with my teachers.
My favorite subject of all time is biology. I specifically love the environment, yet microbiology is just as interesting. In high school I took AP Bio, Dual Credit Environmental Science, and Dual Credit Plant Science. After school my biology teacher and I would discuss topics and plant various plants.
I don't just love biology though, I really like history and took AP U.S history and World history in high school. I also participated in National History Day where I made documentaries on various historical topics.
Band and Music has always been my escape. I've been playing guitar since I was 9 and received lessons from 9-16 in classical guitar and contemporary. I currently play guitar in my college jazz band. I've been playing clarinet since middle school band, so 5th grade. By the time I started high school I started off at fourth chair, by my sophomore year I was sitting second and found myself auditioning for all state. Little did I know at the time I had massive stage fright and left my audition out of fear. Since then I never tried out again, but of my junior and senior year I was section leader during marching band season and sat first chair. With that I've played in WAMAC honor band for 3 years and my high school honor band for another 3 years. I currently play in the Mount Mercy college band and am sitting third chair. I can also play the bass clarinet, Eb clarinet, saxophone, uke, but definitely as more secondary instruments than any.
