Dear Student:

I would like to share with you a little about myself. I grew up in N.C. and I have a fifteen year old daughter. I graduated from UNC Chapel Hill with a Bachelor's degree in Studio Art. I also obtained my K-6 teaching license from Meredith College. I have been teaching for almost 20 years. I have worked with various age groups K-8 teaching all subjects in elementary school and art.

The last six years I have been teaching art at a charter school and at the Boys and Girls Club. I have also tutored for different companies and have even held my own thematic art camps.

In my spare time, I enjoy painting, photography, traveling, hiking in the mountains, playing bongo drums and attending church events.

I enjoy inspiring young people to use their creativity and express themselves in different ways. I love sharing my own experiences of traveling around the world and my personal knowledge of diverse cultures, artists and artistic movements.

It would be my honor to work with you and get to know your interests and life goals. I will support you in every way possible.
