Certified Tutor

I believe that anybody really can learn anything. If you apply yourself, seek help when necessary, and understand your learning style, even the most challenging subjects can be overcome.

I recently graduated from UC Irvine with my BS in Computer Game Science, but to do that I had to conquer a long-standing fear of math. I had convinced myself that I "just wasn't a math person" and didn't realize at the time how much math I would need for video game design. Then in college I found that I would need to learn more math than I knew existed. It was intimidating, but I had some friends who were studying to be engineers help me learn that math and similar subjects didn't come all that easily to them either. They taught me that math is simply another skill that needs time and practice invested into it. With the help of those around me I conquered my fears and now hope to help others overcome similar fears and frustrations.

When I'm not programming or tutoring, I like to play video games, practice speedcubing, or play some classical guitar. I'm especially a fan of a good role-playing game (RPG) with a good story to tell!
