I have experience tutoring German language to children as well as adults and I also have experience as a lab teacher for college-level biology. I attended the University of Kansas for a BS in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology and a BA in German Studies. In fall 2019 I will be attending graduate school in Germany for Molecular and Cellular Biology. I am excited to share my experience and enthusiasm for natural science and German language with other students. My favorite part of tutoring German is when students get excited when they realize they understand the language and how quickly they are absorbing new vocabulary! I also love making subjects, like chemistry, relevant to my students so that they grow not only understanding, but also appreciation for that subject. My hobbies outside of teaching and academics include music- violin, ukulele, and banjo playing. I also cook and read a lot in my free time. Tutoring sessions with me would be more of a discussion of important fundamentals and then applying handy problem-solving techniques to heighten your understanding.
