I love writing and reading, and I enjoy teaching others how to find their voices. I've worked with all ages on writing skills, reading comprehension, and the word-based sections of the SAT. My style of tutoring acknowledges the stresses and vulnerabilities that can accompany learning a new skill, and my first priority in a tutoring session is that my client feels comfortable and free to learn without judgement.

I received my bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature and Film Studies and embraced my love of close reading and analysis. I worked at the Writing Center at my university and tutored undergrad students, then was a teaching assistant to the Writing Center's tutoring course. I also taught SAT and ACT prep courses for a local company for five years.
