I am engineer of Material Science graduated at the Technische Universitaet Clausthal in Germany with the German equivalent of a master degree with a focus at nonmetallic inorganic materials such as cement, glass and ceramic.
I am a native German speaker my second language is English, my third is French. I live in the US since 5 years. Early in my education co students noticed that I have a talent to explain difficult context to them, so I started tutoring since then.
The methods of engineering such as define and control the parameters as much as possible to achieve reproducible results also help with teaching students how to prepare for test and exams.
I tutor German, math, physic, inorganic and physical chemistry, metallurgy, crystallography, electrical engineering, thermal transfer, testing methods for materials, material handling engineering, mechanical engineering and chemistry of glass and glass production.
My other interest other then Since is History and I was able to combine them in projects recreating ancient material with methods and techniques used at the specific time, such as roman cement and medieval mortar and plaster. I ended up explaining to visiting school classes and interested groups the scientific background of the experiments.
In my spare time I like to forge and I got into woodworking lately when the time allows it.
