I am a college student who is majoring in Healthcare studies at the University of Texas at Dallas. I graduated from Garland High School with an International Baccalaureate Diploma which has allowed me to be exposed to challenging curriculum. . Throughout my experience as a Sunday school teacher at my church and as someone who has tutored her fellow peers, I realize that learning is a process that is unique for every individual. I believe in first understanding how students comprehend the material and then guiding them as needed to solidify correct basic knowledge so that they can advance. In my view, a student has completely understood the material when they have not just memorized but also know how to apply that material to various problems. When I am not studying or working, I enjoy painting, journaling, listening to music, and volunteering either in my church or community.
