Certified Tutor

I'm part of a BS-MS program at New Jersey Institute of Technology. Currently, I'm in my last year of medical school. I completed my bachelor's in biomedical engineering in 2017 and my master's in Data Science in 2019.


Some of undergraduate and graduate accomplishments at NJIT is one my team and I won an entrepreneurial competition held at NJIT called TechQuest. I worked in a auditory lab called NESH at NJIT Lastly, I started a knitting club that teaches student how to knit, crochet and sew. In addition, as a club we have a mission of donating project we make to the Salvation Army.


The reason why I'm tutoring part-time is because I want to keep using my mathematic knowledge and science knowledge. As a data scientist, mathematics is the foundation. For instances, machine learning algorithms like neural networks require knowledge of basic calculus concepts like derivatives to advance knowledge of differential equations. So teaching is the best way to ensure I know my knowledge accurately! Just like Albert Einstein said "If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough".


For free time when I'm not studying or working, I love to watch korean drama, foreign art house films and anime. I even write reviews on them when I find a movie or drama I really loved. Moreover, I love to travel. I been to mostly to different states, such as Alaska, Hawaii, North Carolina and many others. Outside of the country, I been to Dubai, India and Canada. Beside this, in the summers I started going on hikes. So far, I completed the hikes to Diamond Head Crater in Hawaii, Mt Tammany in NJ and Pyramid Mountain in NJ.


As for my teaching background, I have a 10 year old brother and 21 year old sister, who i have taught and helped with their homework countless of time. I also tutored student in mathematics in high school and physic and biomedical engineering in college.

I believe any student can do well as long as they practice a little every day and believe in themselves!
