I graduated from Colorado State University with a B.A. in Political Science with a concentration in International Relations and Asian Studies. My extensive international travel experience has colored my educational philosophy. People, culture, and governmental systems are intrinsically intertwined.

The thirst for knowledge is fueled by a desire to interact with those around us, understanding their hopes, dreams, fears, and bias. How we relate and react help us understand what is important in our own educational journey.

I have taught geography and history at various levels for 17 years including 12 years of AP Human Geography. I have also served as an AP Reader for the AP Human Geography Exam for 9 years. My experience also includes 4 years of teaching AP U.S. Government and 4 years of AP Comparative government.

During my educational career I have tutored privately for all levels of US Government, World History, and AP Human Geography.

In my spare time I enjoy travel, photography, reading and writing.

I truly believe that successful education embraces the joy of the journey.
