Certified Tutor

I am currently a 6th and 8th grade Collaborative/ Special Education teacher in Ridgewood, NJ. I hold two teaching degrees; A Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education (K-5) and Special Education (K-12). Upon graduating from Misericordia University in Dallas Pennsylvania 6 years ago, I was hired by the district to be an instructional aide. Half way through the school year I was promoted to the position I currently hold.
In addition to my teaching job, I coach High School basketball in a neighboring town. I also have experience tutoring two brothers while they were middle school students.
I would describe my tutoring/ teaching strategy as one that focuses on the learning style of the student I am working with. I feel that I am very adaptable and do an excellent job of reaching the students I work with everyday. Students I work with on a regular basis become more confident, organized, and are better prepared to be independent learners.
