Currently, I am a third-year doctoral student in Clinical Psychology at the University of Hartford. I have had experience as a teaching assistant for Personality Psychology at my undergraduate institution, where I gave lectures, held office hours, and organized group activities. I provided one-on-one support for students to assist with homework assignments and exam preparation. I also held exam review sessions that were open to the entire class. Additionally, as a Master's level counseling intern, I also worked with children, ages 5-14 years old, in providing therapeutic and educational groups. In addition to these more formalized teaching experiences, I currently assist my peers with essay review and writing.
I really enjoy working with others to help them grow and reach their full potential as learners. Being in a graduate program, I can empathize with the stress that students are under to perform well, especially when a subject is new or does not come easily. I would love to help students work through the challenges they may be experiencing so that the process of learning can be enjoyable rather than stressful.
