I'm an ESL and Mandarin Chinese tutor from Zhengzhou, China. I graduated from Zhengzhou Normal University with a B.A. in English Education in 2014. I also possess a Certificate in Teaching Chinese from Beijing Language and Culture University.

Prior to moving to the U.S. in Septemeber '17, I accrued 7 years of experience tutoring ESL, and 2 years tutoring Chinese, to individuals and small groups in China. My students have ranged in age from 5 to 50 and have come from a variety of cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Through teaching, I aim to equip students with the skills necessary to use the target language in their day-to-day lives. My background also includes a strong focus on standardized tests - such as the HSK and YCT. More than few of my students have turned mid-percentile into top-percentile scores in a matter of months through my careful instruction.

Now with Varsity Tutors, I look forward to combining my teaching experiences with the skills I've learned to continue helping more students reach their academic goals. Hope to work with you soon!
