Certified Tutor

I graduated from Florida State University with a BS in meteorology in 1993, and have been a meteorologist since. (There's A LOT of advanced mathematics and physics in a meteorology degree). Not only do I find science fascinating, but I enjoy teaching it to those wishing to learn.

I tutored student athletes in basic meteorology during my senior year at FSU, and would like to think I am able to explain complex information so that anyone can understand. While working for the National Weather Service I routinely visited elementary and middle school students to teach the weather, and I was also a regular guest lecturer for FSU's Operational Meteorology class class.

I'm really looking forward to tutoring with Varsity Tutors. I am patient and understanding, because there were many subjects which I found difficult and needed help with before I was able to succeed. (I would not have passed my college-level Calculus II course without a very good tutor who explained things so well). I hope to provide you with the same level of service as the best teachers and tutors in my life did for me.
