Certified Tutor

I am currently a Senior at Texas Tech University studying Mechanical Engineering. I spend my days solving math problem after math problem and I love it! I have been in advanced math classes since the seventh grade and I have already completed a minor in Mathematics. I am a trained AVID tutor and was an employee of my high school during my senior year. I would spend the last three class periods tutoring sophomores and juniors in the AVID program. My friends and family text me math problems almost daily and I almost always am able to give them an answer and explain how to solve the problem on their own. I enjoy socializing with people and solving math problems. This, along with tutoring friends daily, prompted me to further my tutoring career. During my AVID training, we were taught how to help the student find the answer without just giving them the answer. I feel like this is one of the biggest advantages to having me as a tutor. It ensures you truly understand the material, and helps to go at your pace. I am here to help you truly understand the material in a practical way so that math can make sense to you and not just look like numbers on a page. I am very flexible with hours and will try and meet at a time that is most convenient for you. If you plan on meeting with me regularly I will offer my email or cell phone so that I can answer questions and help outside of our tutoring session.
