I studied mathematics education at Corban University. Right after school I went and taught overseas at an international school in Jakarta, Indonesia. I taught grades 8 through 12. For grades 11 and 12 I taught IB SL maths, so I am familiar with the IB program. I view teaching as a way to connect with and positively impact people of all ages. My approach to teaching or tutoring is one of patience. I personally know what it's like to not understand concepts, therefore I am not a pushy know it all who expects students to understand a topic or idea the first time it is explained. Math can be a frustrating topic, but it can also be one that brings joy and a sense of accomplishment when concepts are understood and applied. I hope to be able to give my clients this feeling.
