I am an undergraduate student majoring in Neuroscience and minoring in Computer Science and Mathematics at Boston University. I currently work in a visual perception lab doing data analytics and theoretical modelling, and during my free time, I am learning about engineering and robotics. Once I graduate, I plan on applying to MD PhD programs to pursue neuro-prosthetics research and design.

I have tutored privately and through organizations such as Boston Partners in Education and Center for the Arts in South New Jersey and have worked with a variety of age groups ranging from 2nd graders to high school students. I am most passionate about Math, Computer Science, and Biological/Chemical Sciences, with my specialities including data analytics and computational modelling.

I have always had a passion for teaching. I enjoy working with individuals to help them understand difficult concepts and watching them become more confident in themselves and their ability to learn. I found that often times when students don't understand the material they are being taught, it is because they either have a weak foundation of prior knowledge, which is necessary to build more complicated concepts from, or it is due to an incompatibility between teaching and learning styles. Thus in my tutoring sessions, I focus on adapting my teaching style to be compatible with the student's learning style as well as reviewing more basic concepts to ensure that the foundational knowledge is strong before tackling harder concepts. I also believe it is important to understand the theory behind the material that is taught, that it is important to understand the 'why' behind concepts. This facilitates the growth of curiosity in individuals and inspires them to continue learning beyond what is taught in a formal setting.
