I have been teaching professionally for the past five years in the DC area, but my work with students and children started when I began babysitting at age 12. Since then I've worked with students as a tutor, a library volunteer, and a camp director/counselor. Currently I am a Elementary and Middle School Reading Specialist for a Charter School. I have an undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master's Degree in Literacy Curriculum and Instruction. I have a strong dedication to student success, and I am especially dedicated to working with students in urban areas. If there is anything that my teaching experience has taught me, it is that all students deserve every opportunity possible to learn and become successful adults.
