I am currently seeking my Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a focus on United States History at Virginia Commonwealth University. I have also added minors in Nonprofit Administration and Management, and African-American Studies. I have always had a passion for understanding the many stories of the world's past that have proved vital for understanding our present. The volunteer work that I have performed and continue to seek has a focus on uncovering our shared history. I have accumulated over 200 volunteer hours at the Maggie L. Walker Historic Site and through tutoring sessions throughout my academic career. I am confident in my experience as an instructor for History, English Literature, and Conversational Mandarin. I have a proven record of improving grades and creating a love of learning for my students. By making learning fun, we can begin to appreciate the opportunities we have to create long-lasting success. Education is essential in creating a life of prosperity. It allows us to recognize that every day has an innate purpose to learn and grow. In my spare time, I expand my library on hidden gems in history, writing prose, yoga, and weightlifting from time to time.
