Certified Tutor

I am a Retired University Math Professor with a Ph.D. in Math. I have 25 years of university teaching experience (in Florida). Have taught all freshman math courses, the Calculus sequence and selected major courses (Discrete Math, Linear Algebra, Abstract Algebra). Since 2011, I have been tutoring in the San Francisco Bay Area (San Ramon, Pleasanton, Dublin, Danville, San Jose, Sunnyvale, Cupertino, Milpitas).
Students from Dougherty Valley High School, San Ramon Valley High School, California High School, Dublin High School, Evergreen Valley High School have all been my clients. I have been tutoring Geometry, Algebra 1 and 2, Precalculus, AP Calculus and Calculus AB and BC for students from these high schools. I have also been helping students with test prep for SAT/ACT Math. Students I have tutored have gone on to Stanford, Berkeley, UCLA, UC Davis, UCSD, UIUC, UPitt etc. College students from Berkeley, UC Santa Cruz, Carnegie-Mellon have also sought my tutoring in specialized subjects. My hobbies are traveling, gardening, cooking!! Been to several countries in Europe (most recently Finland, Norway, Sweden). Most recently Japan - great country with great people. Japan is the most livable of all countries I have visited. I cook every day because I like what I cook better than any food I eat in restaurants and I am a vegetarian.
