When not tutoring for Varsity Tutors, I work as a Librarian and Instructor at Lenoir-Rhyne University. I also tutor in English Composition there. I have successfully tutored a variety of students, some on the doctoral level and others with a high school education or lower. I help students with grammar, citations, structure, analysis and overall structure and content. I am particularly a specialist in U.S. History, English Literature, U.S. Political Science, Religion and Philosophy, but have also tutored Science and Engineering students.
In my personal life, I also homeschool and teach my six-year old son. I enjoy working with a variety of students, from children to older adults. I make sure with each student I tutor, regardless of grade level or education, that I listen to them and meet their needs. I can help your student achieve their best and look forward to meeting you.

I studied classical and jazz guitar for eight years and often play music with my son in my "music room," which is a special room with all of my musical instruments. I also play the conga drums and the African djembe.
