As a trained and practicing educator and instructional coach, teaching and learning are invaluable to me. Whether it is teaching my elementary school students or advising the high school and college students I support as a coach during the summer, teaching and learning are integral to growth at any age and in any role.

Learning theory and differentiation back up my instructional practices as a classroom teacher and are directly applicable to being a one on one tutor. Discovering an individual's needs, interests and goals are essential to academic progress and are three things I will take into account when approaching my tutees. I will do so with patience, knowledge of content and by drawing on my previous experience educating others.
