Certified Tutor

I have extensive tutoring experience over the last 25 years in Spanish I, II, III, and IV levels. Learning a new language can be challenging, frustrating, and exhausting. Do not worry; there are ways to make learning both exciting and educational at the same time. My passion is helping students learn through an approach that matches their learning styles and the way they process information. We are individuals; therefore, we all have different ways we learn. Our brain has an incredible number of ways in which it can stimulate neurons to form synapses and improve pathways to capture information through cognitive recognition; the possibilities are endless. There are eight cognitive abilities: sustained attention, response inhibition, speed of information processing, mental flexibility and control, multiple simultaneous attention, and memory. I take this phenomenon as my personal goal in finding ways to teach every one of my students. I ensure that my sessions are instructional, educational, engaging, and enjoyable! And for the students who are taking Spanish in school and do not like the subject. I make the "boring subject" look interesting and appealing with a twist. While my students think they don't want to learn, I engage them with activities that might prompt their interest, until they have no option but to love it!
