I began my tutoring career back in 2010 at Paradise Valley Community College. I started off as a student going to the math lab where students go for tutoring and after a few weeks I thought how cool it would be to become a tutor. It was very scary at first because I had no idea what I was doing. However, after about a month of tutoring students I began to find my rhythm and style.

Being an older student pursuing a sociology degree I wasn't required to take advanced math courses. However, in my many years of tutoring I have come to understand the importance of having a solid understanding of algebra, which is the foundation for all upper-level math courses. Thus, I have dedicated myself to tutoring students who are struggling with algebra, want to master the subject, and wish to feel confident in moving forward if upper-level math courses are needed.
