Hi there! I'm Kacie, previously an English major with a concentration in Literature at Cornell College. I graduated in 2012 and have mostly tutored in lower level reading but recently have begun teaching ESL classes as well. My passions include science fiction/fantasy, Virginia Woolf, British literature, and creative writing.

My perspective on education is that subject matter must be relatable for a student to care and to want to truly understand as opposed to just getting by. I try to present information in a way that is relevant to the student's interests or provide examples within a context that already exists for the student. I enjoy working with people of all ages; it is exciting to watch a small child light up when they understand something for the first time but also exciting to have higher level discussions of nuance. I look forward to helping you out!
