While I initially stumbled upon my knack for tutoring by teaching others as a method of studying for my own courses, I soon discovered that I had a natural ability to communicate information to others and to help people understand subjects they had previously struggled with.

As a Master of Fine Arts candidate in Creative Writing at Rutgers University, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English (2018), I am often the first person my peers go to for help understanding difficult literature, reviewing their essays, or tackling a difficult writing prompt. Through that, I now see that tutoring is a wonderful way for me to combine my enthusiasm for reading and writing, my success as a graduate student, and my desire to help others. I hope to not only help my clients achieve a better understanding, but to pass on my own enthusiasm for literature and learning.

When I am not in class or working as a nanny in the mornings, I enjoy writing poetry, playing with my kitten, and exploring new neighborhoods around me. I am also a music enthusiast, and can always be found singing, listening to my favorite artists, or browsing for up-and-coming bands. After I complete my Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing in 2021, I plan on pursuing my dreams to publish my own book of poetry.
