Since I was not able to attend college directly out of high school, I am very passionate about helping all students who want to learn every opportunity to reach their educational goals. My mother was a teacher, not in the formal, classroom sense; she was my teacher. The best thing she ever did for me was teach me to love learning. Yeats said, "Learning is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire." That is what my mom did for me and what I strive to do every day for my students.
