The problem with learning is usually the teacher. The teacher has not made the effort to break down the topic into bite sized pieces that the student can understand. You always start from where the student is at. Focus on building a firm foundation of basics then build progressively floor by floor. You cannot go to floor 3 if you are not sure about floor 2. Under the stress of tests you may lose both floors 2 & 3. What this means is that half knowing is not knowing at all. My job is to lend insights, shortcuts and tricks so that the student quickly masters each topic.
