Certified Tutor

As a former City Year member, the bulk of my tutoring experience comes from working as a corp member with the program. For those not familiar, City Year is an international non-profit dedicated to helping struggling students from impoverished backgrounds graduate. Although I primarily worked with 10th graders studying Algebra and Geometry during my service year, I also gained experience working with younger students in a number of different subjects during this time.

Currently, I'm studying at Temple University where I'm double majoring in Spanish and English. In pursuing my Spanish major, I've spent time living in Spain and Costa Rica, and at the moment in the middle of a semester long Spanish immersion program. I'm excited to directly apply what I've learned in the classroom in a tutoring environment, and also to sharpen my teaching skills in preparation for a career teaching English abroad.
