What is your teaching philosophy?

My teaching philosophy: All students are able to learn; the secret is to connect and personalize the learning experience to help them to be successful, lifelong learners.

What might you do in a typical first session with a student?

Get to know the student personally, finding out their strengths/weaknesses, likes/dislikes, learning styles, accomplishments, etc. After getting to understand my student, we would set short and long term goals to help them be successful.

How would you help a student stay motivated?

I would help a student stay motivated by tracking their goal progress and celebrating milestones along the way to the goal.
